Saint Laurent Homme Defilé

Hedi Slimane once again stuns us with an incredible collection! The show, which was more of a spectacle than the usual calm collected usual atmosphere of a defile, was branded by Slimane’s iconic touch from opening to end.

The dominant style was very rock & roll, and brought to mind David Bowie, or Jim Morrison. Slim fitted leather pants, over-sized glamorous boyfriend blazers adorned with/reflected sequins and shiny beads. The iconic well-fitted leather jacket appeared multiple times on the runway, garnished with beautiful accents ranging from metallic studs on the collar, to fur, or patches of white leather, all working towards a distinctive ‘rocker’ cut that gave the models an excessive ‘cool’ edge on the runway.

Slimane continued bringing ‘unisex’ appeal to the collection, merging the classical –all be it perfectly well designed –  boyfriend blazer with glamorous dangling lines of bead, leopard accents, shimmering-beaded blazers, offering many pieces that blurred the line between the feminine and the masculine.

Verdict: a breathtaking collection, and jackets that can easily be a staple for this season’s look.
