Paris Fashion Week 2013: box of hidden treasures

Paris Fashion Week, everybody is crazy about it. Getting a front -or even last- row ticket at a major défilé is a prized achievement we all covet. Yet the Fashion Week now holds another opportunity for discovery and experience beyond that of big couture houses.

The true hidden treasures to be uncovered at Global Fashion Weeks are the up and coming designers, who hold the key to future design and fashion.

This season many Paris-based developing and new designers on the scene were to be found at the Atelier Richelieu’s Designers Apartment. The displayed designs included those of Aganovich, Alexis Mabille, Alice Lemoîne (Le Moîne Tricote), Barnabé Hardy, Céline Méteil, Christine Phung, Christophe Josse, Gaspard Yurkievich, Gustavo Lins and Yiqing Yin.

All the designers have gorgeous pieces: Gaspard Yurkievich’s shoes that are more like pieces of art, and Yiging Yin’s beautiful modern design patterns. The designs of Alexis Mabille particularly caught my attention because of their feminine cuts and chunky jewelry, and were so enjoyable to browse.  Here are some ensembles from his  Printemps/Eté 2013 défilé. Enjoy!
