The up-and-coming French label Société Nouvelle (created in 2013) hosted an event on March 26th to showcase its new collaboration with contemporary artist Mick Peter.  The items with the print are featured in a limited edition collection.

The event took place at the Citizen Hotel, which is located next to the Canal St. Martin in the 10th arrondissement of Paris.  The Citizen Hotel is the first « boutique hotel » to open on the canal.  The modern design of the lobby provided the perfect backdrop for the collection, and was chosen by Société Nouvelle for its urban, eco-friendly attitude. The director of interior design for the hotel was Christophe Delcourt, a famous Parisian designer, known for his work on the sports club L’Usine.  Its fine lines, incredible woodwork and comfortable pillows create a zen environment in the midst of the city.  The Citizen is equally distinguished for its green attitude and sustainable design.

Société Nouvelle embodies « perfect dressing » composed of elegant, clean cuts for a look that is easy to wear.  Each piece is 100% made in France, beginning with the first sketch of the design.  The colors and designs of the brand exemplify French elegance and style.  Each season, the young label invites a contemporary artist to share a part of his or her universe in the form of an exclusive print.  The original piece from the current collaboration is available on Société Nouvelle’s site.
